Michelle Faye Twoguns, 53, passed away on June 5, 2023 at OSU Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She had recently fought a battle with cancer and was in remission. At her request there will not be a public service. She will be celebrated by her family at her mother's home. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.


Michelle was born October 14, 1969, in Wood River, Illinois to Carol Twoguns.
She was a retired registered nurse for 20 years. She enlisted in the Army in 1992 but was medically discharged due to pregnancy. After 911 she re-enlisted in the Army Reserve and was honorably discharged in 2008 with the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. She was a member of the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma.


She recently moved to Perkins to be near her mother Carol Twoguns. Also, to learn the ways of her people. She was excited to meet her large family, the Murray Bear Clan.


She was preceded by her Grandmothers Norma Jean Twoguns and Gertrude Robertson; great grandmother Velinda Murray Twoguns; and great grandfather Lorenzo "George" Twoguns.


She is survived by her mother Carol Twoguns; children Sean Sampson, Andrew Sampson and wife Molly Sampson, and Desiree Walters. As well as grandchildren Aspen Monzyk and Taran Sampson; her adopted father Ronald Bleisch; sister Amy Browning, and brother Stephen Bleisch. In addition, her auntie Judy Twoguns Barnes and many cousins.
