Naomi Elizabeth (Coatney) Leach was born November 1, 1934, to Joe & Fannie (Dillon) Coatney, in Rudy, Arkansas. She passed away on June 12, 2024 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2024 at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.
Naomi married Delbert Leach in Rogers, Arkansas, on September 13, 1952. They were married 58 years before Delbert's death on August 2, 2011. Naomi loved to cook and care for others, always nurturing and loving those she met each and every day. After being a pastor's wife for many years, She and Dad worked side by side as house parents at The Baptist Boys Ranch in Edmond, and were the first house parents at The Baptist Children's Home in Owasso. She then owned and operated Omie's Coney Island in Owasso, eventually selling it and working at the Ram Cafe in Owasso. Mom & Dad moved to Hydro, Oklahoma in 2004, and then settled in Stillwater in 2008.
Preceding Naomi in death were her parents, her husband Delbert, her sisters; Margaret (Sis) Bredrick, Mildred Bobo Ashley, & Betty Burkhart; her brothers, Reo (Son) Burkhart & Johnny Coatney, and dear friend, Johnnie Webster.
Naomi is survived by her sister, Edna Mae Morrow, Pearland, TX; her children; LaDonna File, Owasso, OK, and her boys, David (Amanda) File, Tulsa, OK, & Alex File, Owasso, OK; Delbo (Tommi) Leach, Stillwater, OK, and their children, Lynsey (Vidal) Espinoza, Stillwater, OK, Andra (Dustin) Beyer, Stillwater, OK, and Jaron (Jordi) Leach, Ochelata, OK; Joe Leach, Oklahoma City, and his children, Brandon Leach and Natalie Leach, both of Oklahoma City. Great-grandchildren, Hannah Beyer, Aiden Beyer, Kaylee Beyer, Aydri Beyer, Coatney Leach, Sebastian Leach, Cora Leach, Makyna Espinoza and Bane Leach.; Sister-in-Laws, Carolyn Jones, Tulsa, OK, and Marolyn Logsdon, Garland, TX. Naomi is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
