Nelda Eileen (Guest) Henry, 80, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family, on February 17, 2024 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 23, 2024 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Stillwater, with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.


Nelda was born on March 20, 1943 to Phillip Edward and Dimple Sue Lois (Pritchett) Guest in Yale, Oklahoma. She was a 1961 graduate of Yale High School where she played basketball.


She moved to Stillwater with friends and began her 43 year career for OSU Student Union food services. She married Roy Leon Henry on August 14, 1964. She raised 3 sons while working. After the death of her husband in 2003, she soon retired and began enjoying life with her friends and family. Nelda attended Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church in Stillwater.


She is survived by her three sons and their wives, all of Stillwater, Ronald and Leah, Roger and Gale, and Everett and Deanita Henry. She leaves 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
