In Loving Memory of Patty Sue Reese O'Daniel, born in Henryetta, Oklahoma on September 1, 1936, and embarked on her final journey on January 15, 2025. Surrounded by the warmth of the family, she passed away peacefully, leaving a void that can only be filled by the memories of her remarkable life.
A visitation will be 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Strode Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will follow at Legacy Village on the 4th Floor Ballroom.
Patty was preceded in death by the love of her life for over 70 years, Jesse Lawrence O'Daniel. Their enduring love and dedication served as an inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to witness it. Together, they weathered life's storms and celebrated its joys, created a bond that transcends time. They are eternally together again.
A loving mother, Patty leaves behind a legacy of family and commitment. She is survived by her four sons and their wives, Mike O'Daniel and wife Debbie of Stillwater, Rick O'Daniel and wife Delisa of Grove, Rob O'Daniel and wife Angela of Allen, Texas, and Mark O'Daniel and wife Jennifer of Georgetown, Texas.
Patty was an amazing woman, she was the family protector, cheerleader and rock. Patty touched so many lives in a positive way, she was not only strong and nurturing, but she also sacrificed and always put the needs of others before her own. She would give up anything and everything to make her children and those around her happy.
Patty took great pride in her role as Granny, finding joy in the laughter and energy of her 13 grandchildren Her love continued to blossom as a Granny to 23 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Her love will live on through the generations she touched, leaving an indelible mark on the O'Daniel family.
Professionally, Patty dedicated 25 years of her life to Stillwater Public Schools, where she served as Food Service Manager for Westwood Elementary School. Her contributions made a lasting impact on the Stillwater Public School system.
Patty was a woman of faith, and a longtime member of Stillwater Church of Christ and Perkins Church of Christ. Her commitment to her spiritual community was a testament to her values and provided her with a source of strength and solace throughout her life.
Patty loved cooking, sewing and gardening, which she got from her mom, Patty always had the prettiest flowers in the neighborhood. Patty also enjoyed traveling with family and friends.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents, William (W. B.) Reese, and Claudia Elms Reese, and five siblings.
She is survived by her sister Jackie Taylor and husband Alfred of Stillwater, and her brother James Reese and his wife Donna of Stillwater.
May Patty Sue O'Daniel rest in eternal peace, and may her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
