Peggy Wrae Lundy (Few), age 90, of Tryon, died Sunday, March 9, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family. A service will be held at Tryon Christian Union church at a later date. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation are in charge of the arrangements.

Peggy was born to Ward and Alta Few (Gross) on August 19, 1934, in Pearsall, Texas. She married Billy Carl Lundy on July 30, 1954, in Chandler, Oklahoma. This marriage ended on November 27, 2012, due to Billy's death.

Peggy was a homemaker and made raising her kids and caring for their home a priority. She canned, plants flowers, fruits, and vegetables. She enjoyed feeding birds but especially enjoyed feeding her friends and family home cooked meals.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, and her daughter Denise Traynor.

She is survived by her daughter Valerie and husband Larry McIntire, seven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
