Rae Andrea Dillon, 83, died February 14, 2024, at her home in Stillwater, Oklahoma with family by her side. Her memorial service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2024 at Strode Funeral Home Chapel. It will be officiated by Reverend Katie Paul. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.
She was born July 22, 1940 to Jacqueline and John Hill in Oxford, Nebraska. She graduated school from Arapahoe, Nebraska. After school, she joined the Navy and was stationed at Camp Pendleton where she became a nurse. There she met her future husband, Joseph Dillon. Rae and Joe were married on December 18, 1959, in Fallbrook, California. They spent 62 years together. She has had many vocations throughout her life, but her favorite was remolding houses with her husband. Her hobbies included reading and crafts.
Those preceding her in death were her husband, Joe Dillon, daughters Shelly Dillon and Jackie Richardson, and grandson, Zackary Richardson.
Survivors include her children, Shawn Dillon, Linda Burrage, Joseph Dillon II and Shilynn Setser; grandchildren William Richardson, Ranielle Richardson, Jed Richardson, Logan Lucas, Dustin Dillon, Sarah Sullivan, Katelyn Longest, Pheonix Dillon, Sloane Setser and Margot Setser; 9 great-grandchildren; and siblings Gae Tennison and Steve Hill.
In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be made to Wings of Hope Family Crisis, 3800 N Washington St., Stillwater, Oklahoma 74075 in Rae's name.
