Richard K. Humphries, age 83, of Stillwater, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024. A memorial service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 6, 2024 at Strode Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Dan Thimell officiating the service. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.

Richard was born to John K. and Phyllis G. (Hadley) Humphries on March 19, 1941 in Lafayette, Indiana.

Richard graduated from high school in Hillard, Ohio and then went on to serve his country in the Air Force. He served for 6 years, with an assignment in Korea for a period of time, before being honorably discharged. Rich worked for United Telephone Co. of Indiana, which eventually became Sprint and had a career there for over 30 years.

He is survived by his son Joel and wife Julie Humphries of St. Clair Shores, Michigan; his daughter Jennifer and husband Aaron Newton of Stillwater, Oklahoma; three grandsons Noah, Cade and Cooper; one brother John E. (Mary Sue) Humphries of Lewis Center, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents.
