Perkins resident Rickford Ross Sine, 77, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at his home that he shared with his loving wife Phyllis Kaye Sine who cared for him.

Rick was born June 28,1949 in Perkins, Oklahoma to Elzie and Mae Sine. During his life he worked in the oil field and later he went to work at Oklahoma State University as a custodian where he met Kaye (Huff) Oliver. Rick and Kaye married on July 9,1986 in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

He enjoyed hunting and camping, and he was a gun and knife enthusiast. He and his wife went camping with family every chance they got. He also enjoyed going to the pow wow's every year.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents Elzie Ross Sine and Mae Florence (Murray) Sine, Elzie Rossini and Mae , a brother, Patrick Sine, a sister, Jackie Young, and a nephew, Patrick Daughtery.

He is survived by his wife Kaye Sine of the home, a sister, Gabrelle Sine, a great niece, Paige Drennan, and numerous cousins. Also survived by a step-son, Randall Pruitt and wife Brandy, step grandsons, Brady Pruitt, Justin Pruitt, Trey Fox, Logan Fox, and a step granddaughter, Bailee Pruitt.

Rick chose to be cremated with no services. He will be laid to rest in the Iowa Tribal Cemetery at a later date. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
