Obituary

Robert "Bob" Patrick Deagle, age 80, of Stillwater, died Monday June 1, 2024. A memorial service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2024 at the Stillwater First Christian Church. Reception to follow and all are welcome. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.

Bob was born to Charles and Margaret (O'Malley) Deagle on March 17, 1944 in
Boston, Massachusetts. He attended Chico State in Northern California and San Diego State to earn his master's degree in special education. He loved teaching special education in the public school system. He married the love of his life, Brenda Beth (Marshall) on October 17, 2020.

Bob was a humble soul, always putting others before himself and never seeking recognition for these generous acts. He helped his favorite local BBQ restaurant by having a sign made, but never told anyone he did it. Bob had a passion for travel, particularly to Southern California, so he could enjoy the sun and explore the beautiful landscapes. Bob also had a love of shopping, especially for unique and unusual items. His collection of western hats and wagons was a testament to his eclectic taste and keen eye for the extraordinary.

But above all, he will be remembered for his big heart and unwavering generosity. He was always willing to lend a helping hand or offer a kind word, without ever expecting anything in return. His selflessness touched the lives of all who knew him and he will be deeply missed.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his Brenda (Marshall) Deagle, brother Chuck and wife Nancy, niece Kelly Moraes, nephews Bob and Craig Deagle, and step children Blake Risner and Brooke Risner Gattis.

Those wishing to honor Bob's life may do so by donating to Stillwater First Christian Church 411 W. Matthews Ave. Stillwater, OK 74075.
