Roberta “Bobbie” Rae Andrew, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend, and faithful servant of God, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2026, at the age of 81. A rosary will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 8, 2026 at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Stillwater. A memorial mass to celebrate Bobbie’s life will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2026 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Bobbie was born on January 14, 1945, to Henry and Ruth McConnell in Abington, Pennsylvania, but spent most of her life in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She was the heart of her family, known for her caring spirit, compassion, and unwavering love for those around her. Bobbie never met a stranger. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcome, loved, and cared for as though they were one of her own.

Bobbie dedicated much of her life to caring for others. She began her career as a nurse, serving patients at OSU Hospital, as one of the first nurses at Judith Karman Hospice, and at Stillwater Medical Center. Later, she continued serving her community as a teller at Stillwater National Bank (Simmons Bank). No matter where she worked, Bobbie’s kindness and genuine care for people followed her.

Her Catholic faith was the foundation of her life. Bobbie was deeply involved with St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Stillwater, where she faithfully attended Mass and devoted herself to helping others grow in their faith. She served as a sponsor and mentor to college-aged students seeking to deepen their Catholic faith and was always willing to share her wisdom, love, and encouragement. Her faith also took her beyond her own community, as she participated in mission trips to places including Jamaica and Bosnia, where she joyfully served others.

While Bobbie gave so much of herself to her faith and community, her greatest joy was her family. She treasured every moment spent with the people she loved and could often be found shopping, spending time with family, or simply enjoying the company of those closest to her. Her love for her family was unconditional and unmistakable.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Ruth McConnell; her brother, Jim McConnell; and his wife, Judy McConnell.

Bobbie is survived by her children, Carl “Bullet” Andrew and Marsha Andrew, Kenneth Ray Andrew Jr., and Megan Luckey and David Luckey; her grandchildren, Jessica Wesbrook, Lauren Luckey McCain and Caleb McCain, Jacob Luckey, Brooklyn Luckey-Stewart, Dacota Roberson and Maddie Roberson, Dillon Luckey, Jaden Luckey, and Isabella Luckey; and her seven great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and pride.

Bobbie leaves behind a legacy of faith, compassion, generosity, and, above all, love. Her family will forever carry the lessons she taught them, the memories she created, and the love she gave so freely. Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing that she has been welcomed home by the Lord and reunited with those who went before her.
