Roger London, 81, passed away peacefully, December 8, 2025, just shy of his birthday on December 10th. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is taking care of arrangements.
Born and raised in Tulsa near Utica Square, Roger was the son of Ray and Ester London. His childhood was filled with simple joys-hours spent bowling, time with friends in Cub Scouts, and the strong family values that shaped the man he would become. Through his young adult life he found joy in fishing, and with friends like Bill.
Roger graduated from Northeastern State University and dedicated his career to serving others. He spent decades with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, where he worked tirelessly on behalf of vulnerable families and ultimately retired as a director. Retirement did not diminish his commitment to service. Roger continued his work in the public sector of social services and later played a meaningful role in developing Little Gate in Grove, Oklahoma-another testament to his lifelong belief in helping communities thrive.
Roger was married to the love of his life, Melva "Pritchard" London, until her passing in 2022. Their partnership was one of devotion, family, and shared purpose.
He is survived by his son, Eric London, and daughter-in-law, Rebekah London; her mother, Linda Robinson; and his cherished grandchildren, Tate and Gracie London, who brought him endless pride and joy. He is also survived by his daughter, Alayna, and his grandson, Zacus. Each of them carries forward his legacy of gentleness, service, and steadfast care.
Roger's life was defined by silliness, dedication, and refusal to give up. He will be missed dearly and remembered always.
A grave site will be set for remembrance at the Southwest City Cemetery with his wife Melva "Pritchard" London near the entrance.
