Ronald Dean Casey, 88, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 10, 2025, in Perkins, Oklahoma. A graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 13, 2025 in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.
He was a loving father and grandfather, with a strong dedication to supporting the academic, athletic and artistic accomplishments of his children and grandchildren. This support took Ronald to many interesting locations throughout both the United States and Europe.
Ronald was born October 15, 1937 to James Preston and Nola Mae (England) Casey in Ripley, Oklahoma. He was the youngest of four children. He graduated from Ripley High School in 1957. Following high school he attended barber school in Oklahoma City. He later opened his own business, "Casey's Barbershop" in downtown Perkins, and any knew him as "Casey".
On July 6, 1964, he married his wife, Willa Jean Hall, and had two children, a son Daryn and a daughter, Suzann. In the late 70's, Ronald began working for Mercury Marine in Stillwater as a machinist. He retired from Mercury Marine in 2002 with over 25 years of service.
Ronald enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved golfing with his buddies, placing "huge" bets on the outcomes of their competitive rounds!
Ronald was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Perkins. He coached little league teams for his children. He fondly took family vacations every summer, attended his children and grandchildren's events, built numerous buildings, listened to talk radio and watched westerns and detective shows. He was a loyal husband, father, grandfather and friend with a great sense of humor. He will be missed dearly.
Ronald is preceded in death by both parents, his sister, Lula Mae, his brothers, James and Robert and his son, Daryn.
He is survived by his wife, Willa Jean of Perkins; daughter, Suzann Cieutat and her husband Barrett; grandchildren Zachary Cieutat and Casey Cieutat. Ronald is also survived by his nieces, nephews, brother-In-laws, sister-In-law and his mother-in-law.
The family is especially grateful for all of Ronald's friends, the wonderful staff at Stillwater Medical Center and Luminos Hospice for their compassion and care.
In lieu of customary remembrances, donations can be made to Luminous Hospice, 808 Manvel Avenue, Chandler, OK 74834.
