Rosetta Faye (Jones) Rose, age 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 25, 2024, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 29, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Strode Funeral Home in Stillwater. Services will be conducted on Friday, August 30, at 2:00 pm at the Stillwater Church of Christ, with burial to follow at Fairlawn Cemetery. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.

Born on October 15, 1939, in Ashland, Oklahoma, Rosetta was the daughter of Erma Jeanette (Girod) Jones and John Kelse Jones. She married her high school sweetheart, Gilbert Ray Rose, on June 9, 1956. The couple moved to Stillwater to support Gilbert's studies at Oklahoma A&M, where they established their home and raised three cherished daughters. Rosetta devoted 25 years of her career to the Bursar's office at Oklahoma State University, retiring with great pride.

Rosetta was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Shelly Fitzpatrick, and her siblings and sisters-in-law Marvin Jones, Glen and Wanda Jones, and Margaret Jones.

She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years; her daughters and their spouses, Debbie and Rick Lane, and Brenda and Garry Morton; and nine grandchildren and spouses: Andrea (Jessie) Wood, Heather (Michelle) Lane, Brandon (Krissi) Morton, Kylee (Ryan) Pastrana, Justin (Brittany) Morton, Courtney (Corey) Dornan, Shelby (Marcus) Fitzpatrick, Garrett Fitzpatrick, and Logan (Paige) Fitzpatrick. Rosetta also leaves behind 19 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Jesse Jones; her sisters Sharon (Dub) Sartor and Janie (Dwayne) Shores; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosetta's warm spirit, dedication to family, and unwavering kindness will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
