Stillwater, Oklahoma - Sally Lucille Buck Cunningham was joyfully reunited with her husband of 58 years. She passed away peacefully at the age 84 in the evening of Tuesday, October 21, 2025, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Her graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2025 in Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater.

On December 24, 1940, Sally was born to Homer and Alice Buck in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Sally graduated from Springer High School, Oklahoma. She then attended Oklahoma State University where she earned his bachelor's degree in home economics (1963). While she was in school, she was active in the OSU chapter of Kappa Delta.

While at OSU Sally met the love of her life, Bill. After Bill graduated from college they wed and started their marital journey for life for 58 years. Sally was a warm, honest, intelligent, and a wise woman. She gave of herself generously to her children, grandchildren, and community - where she was beloved. Sally spent many years involved in church ministry as a life-long Sunday school and Bible study leader at Asbury United Methodist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Cherry Creek Presbyterian Church in Denver, Colorado, Redeemer Covenant Church in Carrollton, Texas and Countryside Baptist Church in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She and her husband often hosted small groups in their home and cherished the friendships that they developed in the church. In each community, Sally dedicated herself to helping women through personal mentoring and volunteering in organizations like M.O.P.S. (Mother of Preschoolers), where she served as the "Titus Woman." She enjoyed helping young mothers embrace motherhood and help them adapt to the rigors of parenting. Sally's life was defined by kindness and faith. She lived every day of her life with a sense of purpose, comforting and inspiring people, even up to her homegoing.

Bill and Sally enjoyed many fishing trips together as a couple. Eventually, they retired to Stillwater where they were active in Oklahoma State University activities and their church.

Sally is preceded in death by her husband, John William (Bill) Cunningham, parents, Homer and Alice Buck and in-laws, Truman and Ruth Cunningham.

She is survived by sons, William (Bill) Cunningham and Michael Cunningham; daughters-in-law, Sharon and Julie; grandchildren Matt and fiancé Sarabeth, Emily, Caleb and his wife Emily, Abby, and Wei Cunningham; sister-in-law, Mary Jackson; brother-in-law, Topper Jackson; 3 nephews.
