Shirley Ann Cherry was born on January 29,1955 to Roxie Karlene Strain. She went home on January 23, 2026. She was Born in Fort Worth, Texas and her and her family moved to Oklahoma in 1967.
There will be no services according to her wishes.
She helped with the family and did what she could. She lived in various places and had 2 kids, Bobby Lee Piña, and Sue Ann Haynes that made her the happiest.
She was a great mom and a hard worker with various jobs that she was proud to have. She lived her life like no other and would hide money just because she knew a hard life and a great life. She loved the zoo, Bob Seger, Kid Rock, and lived to the fullest. Her favorite movie was Forrest Gump. She loved San Marcos, and Taco Mayo, and made great goulash.
She moved to Stillwater, OK to be closer to her daughter, loved thrift store shopping, and loved where she lived.
She was diagnosed with cancer in 2024 and fought to stay alive. She retired from a binder and was enjoying life.
She is survived by her kids, Bobby Lee Piña and Sue Ann Hayes; Brother Walter Piña. Sisters; Marie Engle, and Sharon Walker; Grandkids, DeeAndra Marie Piña, Shyann Lym Piña, William Hayes. Niece; Autumn Ortiz, who texted her everyday; and Son in Law, Chris Haynes.
