Shirley was born August 8, 1952, to Willis E. and Bernice (Bullings) Shadowen in Lansing, West Virginia. She was married to and survived by Anton "Tony" Saberniak, the love of her life and soulmate. Together they built a life centered around love, family, and loyalty.

Shirley earned her GED and attended some college and technical courses before dedicating much of her life to hard work and caring for those she loved. She worked for Armstrong in Stillwater for over 20 years, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic.

Shirley was a devoted Christian who was known for helping her family no matter the circumstance. She spent her free time loving her dogs and cooking full fancy meals for them twice a day. She selflessly went out of her way for others and carried herself with honesty, strength, and compassion. She lived an outstanding life full of love and spunk. Shirley was straightforward and genuine yet had a deeply kind and loving soul that touched everyone who knew her.

Shirley is preceded in death by both parents, her son Donnie Ward; granddaughter and daughter at heart Kristina Singleton; and her brothers Skip, Jimmy, Sam, and Sydney Shadowen.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Tony and daughter Diana Cawfield and husband Bob; granddaughter Khloe; great-granddaughter and daughter at heart, Karlee Rodgers; great-grandchildren Luca, Killana, and Mila; sisters Donna Rich and late husband William of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Dessimarie Fender and husband Melvin of Maryland, and Beverly Moore and husband John of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She also leaves behind several other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who loved her dearly.

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of her family and friends.
