Obituary

Shirley Ann Wyckoff, 87, died November 19, 2023 at Legacy Village in Stillwater. A visitation with family greeting friends will be 3:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday, November 26, 2023 at Strode Funeral Home. A graveside service will begin 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2023 in Fairlawn Cemetery. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.

Shirley was one of twelve children born to Allen and Jessie Davis on August 19, 1936 in Quinton, Oklahoma. She attended grade school in Quinton and in Mansfield, Arkansas. Later her family moved to Morris, Oklahoma where she went to high school and graduated. Shirley was crowned football queen her senior year. On June 7, 1957, she was married to Robert L. Wyckoff and made Stillwater their home for the next 66 years.

Shirley worked 10 years for Oklahoma State University and 15 years for Frontier Engineering until her retirement. In her younger years she was very active in the Morris Baptist Church. She and her sister sang for many funerals, weddings, and on the radio.

Shirley is preceded in death by her brothers, Al, Charles, Dub, Bill, Bobby, and Jimmy and her sisters, June Cook and Doris Shipman.

She is survived by her husband, Bob; two sons, Bruce and his wife Virginia, Russell and his wife Kelli; grandchildren, Austin of Stillwater, Kristin and her spouse Corbin, Ryan and his spouse Ashley, and Rachel of Broken Arrow; great grandchildren, Emilia, Cole, Tripp, and Trace; brother, Wayne of Henryetta; and her sisters, Carol Mosteller of Sand Springs and Linda Salvadras of Plaquemine, Louisiana.

She loved her family, friends and giving to others. She will be dearly missed.
