Sondra Johanna (Jodie) Franzmann passed from this life on October 19, 2024 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. A graveside service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Fairlawn Cemetery. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation are in charge of the arrangements.

She was born on January 1, 1940. She was the only child of Joseph Hillard and Thelma Mae (Harmon) Lyhene in Oilton, Oklahoma. The family moved several times due to her father's oilfield employment. She attended schools in Oilton, Oklahoma, Great Bend, Kansas, and Taft, Texas. She graduated with the Class of 1958 from Drumright High School.

She received an Associates Degree from Christian College in Columbia, Missouri and a Bachelor's degree from Oklahoma State University, majoring in accounting. She was the first woman accountant hired in 1962 by Continental Oil Company (later Conoco Phillips). She was employed in public accounting offices in Napa, California, Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Stillwater, Oklahoma. In addition to various small businesses, most notably Oklahoma Rural Rehabilitation corporation in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

In her later years, she married John Richard Franzmann in October of 1997, in Stillwater. He predeceased her in October 2014.

She is survived by her cousin Kay Burns, her children Kyle King and wife Gaye Lynn of Stillwater and Kirk King of Cushing, Oklahoma, and cousin James (Jim) Andrews and wife Maria and son Ryan of Seacliff, New York, and her late husband's son, John Karl Franzmann and wife Lynn.
