Stephen Ray Lewis, age 68, of Stillwater, died Sunday, August 18, 2024 at his home. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 22, 2024 at the Strode Funeral Home and Chapel.

Stephen was born to Fred Clifton Lewis Jr. and Clara Ellen (Vitek) Lewis on May 4, 1956 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He graduated from Stillwater Public Schools. He married Emma Lee Evans on May 27, 1978 at the Cimarron Country Ballroom.

Stephen was a father, husband, papa, farmer, rancher, and master tinkerer. He enjoyed time with his family, dancing, and working on his tractors. He was employed by the City of Stillwater as a heavy equipment operator for 43 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Clara Lewis, and his sister Linda Frick.

Members of his family include his wife Emma Lee Evans Lewis; children Angela Dawn Lewis Harting, Kelsi Rae Lewis Blasier, and Stephen Kody Lewis; brothers Fred C. Lewis and William Jo (Bill) Lewis; sister Mary Ellen Lewis; and grandchildren Kailee Jo Harting, Tanner Harting, Ayrali Blasier, Payli Blasier, Kaslyn Blasier, Alexander Lewis, and Addilynn Lewis.
