Obituary

Tami Jean Johnson (Traci) 66, of Stillwater, OK passed away in the comfort of her home on November 16, 2024.

Born on October 3, 1958, Traci was the beloved daughter of Zola and Buster Walker of La Junta, CO. She had four brothers Monte Harper, Rick Harper, Steve Walker and Greg Walker. She attended Kim High School where she met and later married Bob Johnson. Together they had three kids Monte, Tawni, and Lanai.

She later moved to Stillwater, OK where she met her spouse Sandra Kay Lewis in 1991 and for 33 years they created a life filled with love and laughter. She attended Indian Meridian and obtained her associate's degree in radiologic technology. Her career took her traveling through the United States as a CT tech, which were some of her best career memories.

Traci was a devoted mother and mimi and the heart of her family. She was a beacon of joy and light, known for her deep faith, unconditional love, long hugs, and ability to forgive easily. Even though she faced many health challenges she always had a positive and uplifting outlook. She touched countless lives with her warm smile, kind heart, and "wittle weg". Her "wittle weg" was a symbol of strength and spirit (ifkyk GO PIONEERS..). She enjoyed sewing. She enjoyed cooking and was known for her famous lasagna, cherry cheesecake, and baked beans. She enjoyed dancing, jamming out to Pink, family game nights, camping, watching football (especially her favorite team the Denver Broncos aka Donkeys) and cleaning Airbnb's (Margo loved cleaning with Marta and boss lady). She also enjoyed worshipping the Lord and attending LifeChurch.

Traci is survived by her spouse, Sandra Kay Lewis of Stillwater, OK; her children, Monte Johnson and wife Barbara of Bentonville, AR; Tawni Hooten and husband Jeremy of Stillwater, OK; and Lanai Battles and husband Lyn of Glencoe, OK; her grandchildren, Destanie Bornt and husband Sam, Hailea Frieling and husband Addison, Garrett Battles, Austin Hooten, Gabe Battles and wife Gracie, Abigail Battles, Tristan Johnson, Grayson Johnson, and Ava Alexandria Johnson; great grandchildren Jasper Jean "Jasper my Jasper" and Tate Frieling "Tatey Boy"; Siblings Greg Walker; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Zola and Buster Walker; siblings, Monte Harper, and Rick Harper; and nephew, Brandon Walker.

She will be laid to rest in the Prayer Garden at Sunset Memorial.
