Timothy William Biven, age 72, died July 7, 2026. Visitation with family greeting friends will be 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Thursday July 16, 2026 at Strode Funeral Home, 610 S. Duncan Street, Stillwater, OK 74074. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2026, at Strode Funeral Home Chapel. Internment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.

Timothy Biven, the eldest of four children, born on December 13,1953 in Bloomington, Illinois to Robert Lewis Biven and Janet Elaine (Gnuschke) Biven. Tim was involved with sports, scouting (earning the rank of Eagle Scout) and music (through high school) including the Young Tulsans. Tim earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Tim enjoyed bowling for OSU and could be found playing chess and the occasional poker game.

After graduating, Tim worked in the carbon black manufacturing industry. His work took him to many states. It also included the design and supervising builds of several plants in Egypt, South Korea, Japan and Indonesia.

Tim married Katherine Benning and they had one son, David. Tim was pleased when he gained a daughter in law, Marissa. He also found great joy in becoming a grandpa to Hazel and helping her get the “bug” for rock collecting. Tim was a collector of rocks, art work, stained glass lamps and any good deal he could find in a “thrift” shop or garage sale.

Tim is survived by his son David, daughter in law Marissa, and granddaughter Hazel of Los Alamos, New Mexico. He is also survived by his brother James and sister-in-law Gayle Biven of Tulsa, Oklahoma, his sister Crystal & brother-in-law Timothy Huff of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and sister Angela and brother-in-law Henry (Illinois) of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Tim has 5 nieces - Christina Biven, Rebekkah Biven, Hannah Biven, Aubry Huff, Brian Gault, Melanie Wooldridge (husband Brent). He has 2 great nieces - Mazie & Sylvie Wooldridge.
