Obituary

Tommy Jack "Jack" Miller, 79, went home to be with his Savior on July 10, 2025, in Stillwater, just one month after the passing of his beloved wife, Barbara. Now reunited in Heaven, their love and devotion to one another continues beyond this life. A celebration of Jack's life will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2025 at the Mehan Union Church, with Pastor Larry Elsinger officiating. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.

Jack was born on November 17, 1945, to Harley and Helen (Dickerson) Miller in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He was united in marriage to Barbara Lamb on June 25, 1965, at Southside Baptist Church in Stillwater.

Jack was a skilled electrical contractor and the proud owner of Harrison Electric, located in downtown Stillwater, where he served the community faithfully for many years. He built a reputation for quality work, integrity, and dedication to his customers.

After retiring, Jack enjoyed traveling in his RV and exploring new places with family and friends. He was a dedicated fan of OSU sports and a proud supporter of the Ripley FFA program, taking great joy in encouraging the next generation of agricultural leaders.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Barbara; his brothers, Harley Allen Miller and Owen Dickerson Miller; and his sisters, Bonita Petty and Sara Brooks.

He is survived by his daughter, Melanie Ballard and her husband, Todd; his son, Tommy Miller, and his wife, Toby. Jack was a proud grandfather to Tarron Ballard and his wife, Meagan; Taylor Ballard and his wife, Shelbi; Trevor Ballard and his wife, Shelby; Ally Williams and her husband, Seth; and Cole Miller. He was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren, Brooks, Graham, Sutton, Aurora, Lincoln, and Penelope Ballard, and Oakley Williams. Jack is also survived by many cherished nieces and nephews.

In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests donations be made in Jack's name to Luminos Hospice in Chandler, OK, or to Ripley FFA.

Those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
