SPC Trenton J. Conkling, 22, was brought into this world on March 11, 2002 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He unexpectedly departed on June 15, 2024 in Lakewood, Washington. A visitation with family greeting friends will be 5 - 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2024 at Strode Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2024 at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Immediately following the burial, the family will greet friends at the Stillwater Elks Lodge. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.
Trenton graduated from Yale High school in 2020 then went on to join the U.S. Army in 2022. During his career he was stationed at JBLM where he earned the ranking Specialist in Combat Engineering.
Some of his hobbies included fishing, making music, and traveling. In his free time, you would find him at the gym, the gun range, or spending quality time with family and friends. He was an ambitious diligent young man with a generous heart of gold.
Trenton is survived by his parents, father Joseph Conkling; his mother, Kelly Rosato and his step-father Frederick Rosato; brothers, Cody Welch and Ashton Conkling; his sisters, Bianca Conkling, Madison Gray-Conkling, Tamara Gray-Conkling and Viveca Rosato; grandparents, David Leister and Ralph and Cheryl Sheats; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
