William Dawson, age 82, passed away on September 26, 2025, in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

He was born on December 21, 1942, in Lima, Ohio, to Charles and Ruth Dawson. William graduated from Elida High School in 1961 and later worked as a machinist for Dana Corporation, where he was known for his dedication and work ethic.

William was a longtime member of the United Church of Christ in Spencerville, Ohio.

On December 23, 1965, he married Sheryl in Marion, Ohio. Together they shared a life full of love and devotion.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Robert, Charles, and Richard; and his sister, Mary.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sheryl; one son, Christopher Dawson and his wife Robin; one daughter, Jennifer Eberle and her husband Tony. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Jarrod Dawson, Jack Litsey, and Evan Dawson.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Karman Legacy Hospice, the staff at Westhaven, and the team at Stillwater Cancer Center for their compassionate care.
