Obituary

Willie Ann Pradia, beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend, died on Sunday May 5, 2024. A visitation will begin 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 9, 2024 and will continue until the time of the service. Funeral services will begin 2: 00 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Pastor Calvin Miller is officiating the service. A private immediate family only burial will be held at a later date. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.

Willie Ann was born in Glencoe, Oklahoma on October 18, 1941 to Willie and Birdie (Vick) Linzy. She attended Washington School up to 10th grade and during integration started school at Stillwater High School. She graduated in 1959. On March 15, 1959 she married Abel Joe Pradia in Stillwater, Oklahoma. To this union, six children were born.

For many years, she was a long rime member of Lawson Temple Church of God In Christ, under the late Bishop Fred D. Lawson Jr., then under Elder Miran Johnson. She eventually transferred her membership to Miracle Church of God In Christ, under the leadership of Elder Stacey Norwood.

She held various jobs during her lifetime of working at the Oklahoma Natural Gas Company, a secretary at Oklahoma State University and the Student Union Bookstore. She retired after 25 years of service. She was a custodian at Stillwater High School and retired from this position after 17 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Harvey Dean Linzy and wife Bernice, Abraham Lincoln Linzy Sr., Elsworth Alexander Linzy, Joseph John Linzy, Luther Tucker Linzy, Chester Field Linzy Sr., and brother-in-law Ikey Sanders, sisters Mittie Mondora Carter, Christine Fernita Green and husband Lloyd, Helen Jean Rivers and husband Benny, granddaughter Mary RoseElla Prather, and great granddaughter Lilaysia Martin.

She is survived by her children Willie Darryl Pradia of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Abby Josephine Mackie of Cushing, Oklahoma, Birdie Diane Neal of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Curtis DuWayne Pradia & Fiance' Sherry Lane of Oklahoma City , Oklahoma, Ella Rose Knighten and husband Terry of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jean Evelyn Prather of Midwest City, Oklahoma, grandchildren Darryl DuWayne Neal and wife Leigh, Chuck Anthony Neal III, Greggory Von Sims Jr., Terrell Eugene Knighten, Joseph James Pradia, William Abel Pradia and wife Bashira, Hope Miosha Dixon, Brandon Cornelius Prather, Maya Angela Diego Prather, Quinton DuWayne Pradia & companion Keyosha Little, Samatha Lucas, great grandchildren Jayden Anthony Neal, Addylyn Elizabeth Neal, Christian Alexander Neal, Sir William Kane Dixon, Queen Ka'Maya Diana Jo Dixon, Rose Evelyn Kay Ann Dixon, Emmanuel Floyd Prince Dixon, Royal Dixon, Ansa Victoria Pradia, Jenesis Cannon, Jalen Lucas, Egypt Rose Pradia, sister Elnore Josephine Sanders, former son in law Cornelius Prather, former daughter in law Angela Arceneaux Pradia, and former son in law Eddie Mackie, friends Wendell and Sue Stephens, Bud Bramwell, Darlene Crowley, and Phyllis Shipley, classmates Edna Finley, Dorothy Shinault, Benny Ray Westbrook, Charles McGlory, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
