Zakrie Wade Friedman, age 25, passed away on February 2, 2025. A memorial service to honor Zakrie's life will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.

Born on October 9, 2000, Zakrie lived a life marked by quiet strength, deep sensitivity, and endurng love.

Much of Zakrie's life was supported by round-the-clock nursing care, yet his spirit was never confined. Within that space of care and compassion, he shared warmth, patience, humor, and a profound sense of connection. He showed those around him that life's meaning is found not in movement, but in presence-in the way love is given and received.

Zakrie had a remarkable gift for making others feel seen and valued. He listened with care, loved without condition, and met each day with gentle courage. His life was a testament to resilience, dignity, and the quiet power of simply being.

He is survived by his mother, Nichole Woods; siblings, Shyanne Friedman, Ethan Friedman, Jewelz Friedman, Tiona Friedman, and Chloe Friedman; his grandmother, Shelley Postoak; his aunt, Amanda Roberts; and his cousins, Danessa Woods, Dylan Schmitt, Jonah Roberts, and Arya Roberts. Together, they carry forward his memory with love and gratitude.

In lieu of customary remembrances, the family welcomes acts of kindness or donations to local nonprofit agencies helping underrepresented populations.

Though his days were lived within the care of others, Zakrie's spirit was vast. His love endures, his courage remains, and his memory will live on-tenderly and forever.
